Whistler happy to snap up offices on i2 scheme
Date: 18th May 2010
Source: Nottingham Evening Post
Network Space has announced another deal at its prestigious i2 scheme on Oakham Business Park in Mansfield.
Whistler Technology plc, trading as WTX, has taken 5,350 sq. ft of office accommodation and workspace on a five-year lease. The company supplies customers with electronic components from featured manufacturers, end-of-line and liquidated stock, and also provides a brokerage service for sourcing specialised or obsolete parts.
Director of WTX, Scott Manifold, said: "Due to the expiry of our lease we decided to relocate in the local area, and we considered a number of other potential developments before opting for i2.
"However, its superior specification, landscaped environment and flexible terms meant that i2 was the ideal choice for us."
Helen Gordon, senior property manager at Network Space, said: "We are delighted to welcome another occupier to i2 taking it to 36% occupied, and as we have strong interest in the remaining office accommodation we hope it will only be a matter of time until further tenants join WTX and our other occupier, Healthcare Software Systems."
i2 Mansfield is located on Oakham Business park in close proximity to Mansfield town centre.
It was designed to offer space from 1,557 to 34,307 sq ft, an therefore has the flexibility to accommodate start-up businesses, provide move-on space for existing businesses or tailor space to meet HQ or corporate satellite office requirements.
The office building also offers conference and meeting room facilities for up to 30 people which can be rented by the hour - making the space flexible and cost effective as you only pay for what you need.
The office building has a dedicated concierge service and is therefore open to view weekdays anytime between 9am and 5pm, or appointments can be arranged via the joint agents Innes England and King Sturge's Nottingham office.
Network Space Ltd is a joint venture between property developer Langtree and English Partnerships (now the Homes and Communities Agency), launched in 1999 by John Prescott to stimulate the regeneration of communities in the former coalfields.
Network Space has now delivered more than 700,000 sq. ft of workspace office and serviced offices.
