Development Details
This former British Coal colliery baths site is now cleared and available for development for a variety of uses, subject to planning. To the west and north of the site is a railway line with a signalised railway level crossing to the immediate north-west of the site (nearest stations are at Mexborough and Conisbrough). To the north of the railway is the Dearne Valley Leisure Centre and beyond this, the River Don. The A6023 Doncaster Road was diverted in recent years to create a fly-over across the River and railway. The new section of road bounds the site to the south and east at a higher ground level. There is a roundabout junction to the immediate south-east which provides access for an ASDA supermarket and our site is accessed from Denaby Lane.
